Needlebook and Small Pincushion

I just made this needlebook and pincushion out of selvages.  I just love the way selvages look when they are made into stuff.  I'm so glad that I saw the idea on the Selvage Blog because I probably would never have thought of it myself.

Here's an open view of the needlebook.  There are two pockets under the felt needle and pin flaps.

My Quaker House

I stitched this quite a while ago, and today I decided to finish it off for hanging on a wall somewhere.  I'm not sure where I will put it yet.  This is one of my very favorite Blackbird designs, although I pretty much love everything they do.

Selvage Purse

Here's a bag I made with selvages.  I had to raid my fabric closet and cut off lots of selvages to get enough to make it.  Now I have just enough left to make a needlebook and a small pincushion and I will probably be done with selvages for a while.  I have not been enjoying the heat so much this week, I spend most of my time parked in front of a fan, it's the only way I can get through the day.  It's been about a month and a half since I started this blog, and it's been a lot of fun.  I want to thank the lovely people who have decided to be followers, I know there are way more exciting blogs out there than this one, so I really appreciate all of you.  And a special thanks to everyone who has made comments, I love to read them!

Two Ornaments

Here's an old Sheepish Designs freebie.  I don't know if you can see them, but I added some little kitty buttons by the bottom of the house.  I really like making small ornaments because they whip up so fast.  Thanks for looking!
