Here's an ornament that I finished up a few days ago, but I did the stitching so long ago I don't remember where the design came from. I think it was from a magazine. Anyway, the thread is Anchor multicolor #1345.
This is, of course, a Blackbird Design from the book "My Heart is True". I used the Crescent colors that were listed. This is one of my favorites, I just love the colors!
This was another free design from Beth Twist, I made it last year just in time for Thanksgiving. Now I'm starting to think about fall decorations again. It's a cool, dark and rainy day here which makes me think that fall may not be far off. I used Gloriana Silk floss for this ornament.

What lovely finishes! I really love the BBD, such pretty colours. I stitched the top one (ABC, I love thee) myself, some time ago. I do know it's by Ruth Ann Russell and I think the design might have been in JCS magazine.
Karen, thanks for the info, Ruth Ann Russell is one of my favorite designers, I didn't even realize she had designed this one. I searched your blog trying to find your version of it, but didn't see it. Thanks for the very nice comment!
Gorgeous pieces. I love the look of the pretty hand-dyed threads
Oh my those are gorgeous! I really love the Give Thanks! Were those the colors it called for or did you use your own?
Sharon, thank you! I chose my own colors of Gloriana, they were harvest grape, cinnamon, blue grass, winter brook, grape and sunflower.
