I finally got it done! I used a combination of Belle Soie and Gloriana silk threads except for the brown and gray around the edge and the large lettering, that was Mandarin Floss by Rainbow Gallery. It's made out of bamboo but it has a silk like feel to it. Here's some more pictures of it:
There was a small over 1 section, I hadn't done that in a while, but it wasn't too difficult.
Instead of stitching in the name of Jenny Bean, I decided to put in Sarah Bean. If you read my last post, you may remember this is the name we gave our new mother cat. My husband had come up with the name Sarah, and I must have had the Bean name in my mind because of working on this sampler. I thought it would be neat to have her name there, so whenever I see the sampler I will remember how when I was stitching it she came into our lives. I will probably also recall that I stitched most of the blue waves while waiting at the hospital when my husband was there for a couple of days. He had a G.I. bleed for which he was taken in an ambulance to the hospital. It was very scary, but he's ok now. Do you ever remember certain momentous events that you associate with whatever you were stitching at the time? I have a feeling I'm not the only one!
I enjoyed stitching this sampler, but I won't be doing it again, so if anyone would like to have my copy of the chart--and I warn you, it's quite battered, although still readable--I would be happy to send it to you. If more than one person wants it, I will do a random drawing to decide who gets it. Just leave a comment on this post and I will put your name down for it. And now here's Sarah's little one, she's grown a little bit and she can now walk around without her legs being quite as wobbly as they were and she's becoming quite playful!
She posed so nicely in this miniature chair, I don't think she has any idea how adorable she is! Thank you for stopping in again, and I appreciate any comments you care to leave!
Edited on 5/29: just wanted to say I appreciate all comments left, but if you would like me to enter your name in the drawing for the Jenny Bean sampler chart be sure and let me know in your comment. I will draw a name on Wednesday, June 6. Thank you!

I don't know how I missed this blog post. Your sampler is beautiful and I love how it has special memories tied to it. I suspect I would never stitch it so I'll leave the contest to others who can make better use of the chart. Very nice of you to offer it.
